RubensFeng Zhu is a Singapore based unbelievably skilled concept designer. From worlds and landscapes to sci-fi machines, his work is simply incredible. Just using the digital “speed painting” technique in Adobe Photoshop he masters lights and shadows in such a great way that you think you’re looking at photograph, and just after a closer look you’ll notice that those are “just” simple and quick brush strokes.
In 1999 he founded Feng Zhu Design, his personal studio, and worked in the entertainment industry for movies, videogames, toys and advertising with clients like Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Sony, Activision, Industrial Light+Magic, NCSoft, Warner Brothers, Lucasfilm, Bay Films, Epic Games and many many more. In Hollywood, he has worked closely with well established directors including George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, Michael Bay and Luc Besson.
In the spring of 2009, Feng founded the FZD School of Design in Singapore to train professionals and students to join the entartainment industry as concept designers.

Feng Zhu è un concept designer di Singapore di incredibile talento. Da scenari e mondi a macchine fantascientifiche, le sue opere sono semplicemente stupefacenti. Utilizzando solamente la tecnica digitale dello “speed painting” e con un uso veramente sapiente di luci e ombre crea immagini che vi faranno pensare di essere difronte ad una fotografia o un render 3D, e solo dopo uno sguardo più ravvicinato vi accorgerete che quelli non sono altro che veloci pennellate digitali.
