I have an ongoing project called I Do Haiku You in which I pair medium format toy camera photography with haiku and senryu poems. Haiku poetry, like photography, has an instant, strong, fairly emotional resonance. I find the haiku and photographs enhance each others power so that, very briefly, a story is told.
My photographs come from India, Egypt, the U.S. and elsewhere, including Kyoto, Japan, where I now live. I am a Los Angeles native.
I’ve enclosed one haiku with image as a sample of my work:
Lost and Found
the meaning of life
you think you got it, then it
slips away again
Chattering Optimism

There are many more at my site here: http://idohaikuyou.blogspot.com/Sean Lotman (nato a Los Angeles) sta portando avanti un progetto chiamato “I Do Haiku You” nel quale accoppia fotografie scattate con delle toy camera ad piccole poesie haiku e senryu. Gli haiku, come le fotografie, sono istantanei, forti e di grande impatto emotivo.
Le fotografie arrivano da India, Egitto, Stati Uniti e molti altri luoghi, tra i quali Kyoto dove vive attualmente.
Alcuni esempi:

you think you got it, then it
slips away again
Chattering Optimism
