Danilo RolleShepard Fairey also known as Obey the Giant, is one of the most influent street artists of our time. He started the poster and the stickers art phenomenon as a sub-language of street art. Today his works take place in a lot of museums and galleries around the world. Shepard Fairey meglio conosciuto come Obey The Giant, è uno dei più influenti street artist dei nostri tempi. Appassionato di skateboard, di origini umili, ha iniziato attaccando poster, dando il via al fenomeno della poster e sticker art, come sotto-linguaggio della street art. Shepard uses a lot of different artistic techniques like print, stencil, stickers, rubylith, illustration, collage, woodblocks, canvas that bring his style, made of a frequent use of red,black and white. Recently his portrait of Barack Obama brings him to the top of the fame worldwide, his poster became immediatly an icon such as the famous portrait of Che Guevara by Alberto Díaz Gutiérrez. The poster has been included in the National Portrait Gallery in Washington DC.
