“Covers” is a project by John Paul Thurlow. Fascinated by the perfection of glamour magazines covers he decided to redraw his favourite ones. This is the way these awesome original portraits were born.

Rik Lee lives and draws in Melbourne. He is a founding member of And Collective, which has released four publications. He has worked for Nylon USA, Vibe, Vice Australia, Girlfriend, The Sunday Telegraph, Mooks, Stussy, Lee Jeans, and Oyster magazine. He works with grey lead pencils, textas, watercolours and his computer.

Alexis Marcou is a graphic designer and illustrator from Larissa, Greece, born in 1984. Beside being a very talented graphic designer he’s also skilled in drawing, and he usually use a lot of hand drawn contents in his designs, but keeping a very modern mood.

Tommy Kane has worked in advertising for 25 years, but in his sparetime he was always painting and drawing. He succeeded in advertising and thanks to this he travelled a lot around the world, and while doing this he was always sketching.

Zachariah Johnsen, is a really versatile young american artist, his extensive portfolio ranges from illustration, to traditional art, graphic design and motion graphic. He is concentrating on watercolor, pen & ink and mixed media works on paper. He uses his medias exhaustively to describe a world of ghouls, monsters, and misfits – the shady characters [...]

Another appointment with artists’ sketchbooks, today featuring Joao Paulo Alvares Ruas, illustrator from Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Yuko Shimizu is a Japanese illustrator, who lives and works in New York. She was born and grew up in Tokyo and she always dreamed of becoming an artist, however, growing up in a traditional Japanese family, pursuing a path in art was not easy.

Iain McArthur is a 23 years old english illustrator. One of his main productions are portraits (but not only), but not the usual portraits, Iain use pencils, markers and water colors stain to get an unique style, where abstract elements seem to explode out of “classical” drawings.

James Jean is an incredibly talented artist from New York,  now he lives in Los Angeles. Since 2007 he abandoned illustration to dedicate to painting and  personal projects of publishing and exhibitions.
