James Jean è un artista incredibilmente talentuoso di New York, che ora vive a Los Angeles. Dal 2007 ha abbandonato l’illustrazione per dedicarsi alla pittura e a progetti personali di editoria e mostre.

Ha studiato alla School of Visual Arts di New York, e subito dopo averla terminata ha iniziato a lavorare come cover artist per la DC/Vertigo Comics. Acclamato da pubblico e critica, ha vinto per ben 5 volte consecutive l’Eisner Award e per 3 consecutive l’Harvey Award come Best Cover Artist.
