Thierry Cohen has been a professional photographer since 1985 and from the end of the 80s on,a pioneer in the use of digital techniques. He lives and works in Paris. Thierry documented the exact time, angle, latitude and longitude of each exposure and then he tracked the rotation of the earth to locations with clear night skies such as the Mojave, Sahara, and Atacama deserts. By combining the two images, the photographer has produced this profound work called “Villes Eteintes - Darkened Cities”.
