Made out of five pieces of bent plywood, the piece is inspired by the shape of a fork, and is slightly flexible which provides additional comfort – whilst the lateral pieces are tapered slightly on the part of the back and bent a little for the same reason.
However, the greatest virtues of the design are that Fork Chair is stackable, and can also be transported in parts, therefore taking up less space.
The assembly system among the five parts is solved with a steel rod embedded in the thickness of the pieces, which is completely hidden from view.
Fork chair is currently in the prototype stage, but if produced, it would look great in a variety of colours or wood tones; even multiple shades all mixed up in one individual chair.Made out of five pieces of bent plywood, the piece is inspired by the shape of a fork, and is slightly flexible which provides additional comfort – whilst the lateral pieces are tapered slightly on the part of the back and bent a little for the same reason.
