Manga Inspired Artwork from Chris Scarborough

For the past decade Chris Scarborough has been creating drawings and altered photographs inspired by Japanese Manga art and science fiction.

The drawings often feature a young girl with the big innocent eyes of a Manga character, but there’s something eerie about them. And the women in the photographs look sweet and real at first, and then they look odd, almost alien. It’s no wonder the series is called Ideal Species.
