One hour into his first Psychology class, Anthony walked out of the sciences and into the arts. Quitting his long-time home of Geneva, Switzerland, for San Francisco, CA, he began attending the Academy of Art University in 2001, studying New Media and Graphic Design. In the Fall of 2002, Anthony attended a photography class that changed the course of his life.
In March 2003, he acquired his first SLR camera and documented the anti-war protests that shut down the City of San Francisco following the invasion of Iraq. Two years later, he gained international exposure with a First Prize and five Honorable Mentions at the 2005 International Photo Awards.
Anthony continues to document the effect of foreign wars on American soil. Following the current socio-political climate, Anthony envisions a hypothetical future in which humans have failed to act and change their ways. Tackling issues such as government control, privatization, popular rebellion, mass-consumerism, and overpopulation, his post-apocalyptic images cross boundaries between fine art and documentary, between fascination and concern. In 2007, he traversed India by train to document the lower castes of India, in hope of glorifying their lives.
In a new age, where photographers are expected to do it all, Anthony is well equipped. Working with video, audio, motion graphics, and typography, he currently works as a freelance photographer in San Francisco.
