Noferin

Noferin are Candy and Nick. Candy paints wonderful fairy landscapes populated by cute and funny little characters, a world called Carrara Island. The style of the backgrounds reminds the traditional ukyo-e japanese prints and fairy-tale books’ illustrations and contrasts with the clean, vector looking characters, that Nick brings to life creating them with wood blocks. Amazing!

Noferin sono Candy e Nick. Lei, Candy, dipinge fantastici paesaggi naturali e fiabeschi nei quali si aggirano buffi e simpatici personaggini, un mondo chiamato Carrara Island. Lo stile un po’ a metà tra le stampe dell’ukyo-e  e le illustrazioni delle fiabe di una volta contrasta  con i tratti essenziali e quasi vettoriali e con i colori accesi dei personaggi, che Nick porta nel mondo reale creandoli con il legno e realizzando fantastiche sculture/toys. Sublimi.
