Estevan Oriol is, since the 80s, our eyes on the west coast street subcultures and hip hop scene. He has photographed the most famous artists on the music scene, a lot of Hollywood actors and his photos have been published on the most important underground magazines of LA and have been exposed of many famous galleries and exhibitions.

Estevan enters the world of hip hop as a bouncer in clubs, and in this period he met people like the Cypress Hill. Then he followed some of these groups as tour manager and started to take photos of the backstages with the camera his father gave to him. After discovering this passion for photography he starts to take pcitures of his neighborhood, the gangs and the low riders of LA.

His partnership with Mr. Cartoon, one of the most famous tattoo artist in LA, enforce his bond with the street cultures of the city and give him the opportunity of working profesionally also for commercial works, collaborating with brands like Nike, MTV, Harley Davidson, Toyota, Rockstar Games.

Today, beside being the chief of Joker Brand Clothing, Estevan Oriol works as director for music videos for famous artists such as Eminem, Linkin Park, D12, Xzibit, Blink 182 and many more, and for commercials for Nike, Cadillac and other clients.
