Ron Mueck – hyperrealist sculture

Ron Mueck is born in Melbourne in 1958. Has worked for 20 years as puppet-maker for advertising and for TV shows like The Muppets show or as special effects creator in movies like Labyrinth, before becoming an artist.

His sculputers are made with mixed techniques, and reproduce human figures in an iperrealistic way. I’ve been astonished looking at them in person in an exhibition in London, they’re really incredible, not just for the realism and details, but also for the strange effect of the size, creating a real/unreal effect. An unforgettable experience.
