Tilt-shift: the mini-world

These are not macro photos of plastic models, these are real life environments shots taken with a tilt-shift lens.

Tilt-shift lenses were born originally to take architectural photos, to adjust depth of field and perspective of buildings. They’re flexible lenses working with a manual movement (you need a little practice to handle it) that let you take a “rectangle” of  focus in a picture. Here’s an example of tilt-shift lens.

This is the real technique to take these photos, but there are obviously many ways to create fakes with Photoshop. By the way it’s interesting to see how these pictures look like little models, when they’re real 1:1 environments.
